The Heart of the World
An old poem with a theme that’s still on-going.
The Heart of the World
The tower of Babel will rise
when we use our ears and our eyes
forgive us all we know not what we do
or you’d be hearing me and I’d be seeing you
When we tune into the vibration of love
doors open with no push or shove
believe and the belief rings true
just think of the angels thinking of you
We’d better stop, look and listen
the lights are turning green for go
all hands on deck there’s work to do
although you don’t need me to tell you so
We’d better keep the heart of the world pumping
keep it pumping
There’s a soft spot in us all
believe me it’s there no matter how small
Divinity’s wellspring swollen ripe
pulsations of Eden’s light
Hey beautiful hobo shake
free from the demons that make
you frozen stiff and lonely in the crowd
everyone’s just wanting to shout the same thing out loud
Do we have eyes to see with ?
Do we have ears to hear with?
We’d better stop, look and listen
the lights are turning green for go
all hands on deck there’s work to do
although you don’t need me to tell you so
We’d better keep the heart of the world pumping
keep it pumping
